Brubaker Connaughton Goss & Lucarelli LLC jumped on board to help the United Way’s Read Across America initiative, in which Theresa Mongiovi, United Way Board Member and Chair of the Employment and Labor Law at BCGL, participated as a volunteer reader. In anticipation of Theresa’s visit to the Lancaster Early Education Center (LEEC) preschool class, she and Emily Forrey, BCGL Office Administrator, organized an office book drive for the children.

After a few weeks of collecting everyone’s favorite childhood stories, Theresa and Emily presented over one hundred donated books to LEEC on March 2, 2017. The BGGL book donation marks the first contribution to their new mobile library. The Read Across America event culminated with Theresa’s first official public reading debut of Dr. Seuss’s ABC, on the birthday of the beloved children’s author.

Their visit was "well-received with many thanks given in the form of hugs and smiles," said Theresa. "I appreciate that I work with so many generous people who care about their community."

Following their return to BCGL, Theresa and Emily shared their experience at LEEC over a Dr. Seuss themed office luncheon. The menu featured green eggs, Grinch dip, red fish, blue fish and many more festive dishes. It is always a pleasure for BCGL to play a role in serving the needs of the  Lancaster County Community.
